Ogun Holder is an an ordained Unity minister (2011), an award-winning author, and he holds certifications in spiritual and relationship coaching, grief and bereavement counseling, and the Enneagram. His many titles over the years include speaker, teacher, author, podcaster, blogger, musician, parent, social media consultant, a WEPSS Certified Enneagram Instructor, and a self-proclaimed geek.
His first full-length book Rants To Revelations: Unabashedly Honest Reflections on Life, Spirituality, and the Meaning of God was published by Unity Books in Fall 2012. He currently writes the Love & Justice For All column for Unity Magazine, an exploration of justice as a spiritual practice. His article Don't Take The Bypass won a 2022 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie award in the Religion/Spirituality category. He has also written for Unity Leaders Magazine, the Daily Word (an internationally distributed inspirational magazine), and Science of Mind Magazine (in which he was also profiled in their Nov 2019 edition). He is one of the hosts of Pub Theology Live, a weekly podcast on life, culture, faith, meaning, and identity. He is also the co-host of With Love And Justice For All, a podcast about embodied antiracism, dismantling oppression, fostering liberation and the special challenges that arise as spiritual seekers.. Originally from Barbados, Ogun moved to the USA in 1994 to pursue a degree in Music Therapy. As a Music Therapist he worked successfully with a variety of populations in schools, hospitals, adult day-care facilities, and his own private practice. He is also an experienced church music director, having served multiple communities. He served as Associate and Senior Minister in various Unity spiritual communities. A humorous and engaging speaker, Ogun has been invited to speak and lead workshops at churches and spiritual centers across the country. |
